Full Body Exfoliation...in 60 seconds!

Besides the normal places to exfoliate like your face, do you exfoliate the rest of your body? Like your elbows, knees, heels and back? Many of these areas on the body often get ignored because we either can't reach them, or don't think about it! But skin on your body needs to be polished too! Unexfoliated skin looks rough and dry, and is harder to moisturize because dead skin cells (that sit on top) cannot absorb moisture, and they block absorption by healthy skin cells below! Rough, dull, dry skin can really take away from your look! Imagine how beautiful and smooth the skin on your entire body could be if you exfoliated regularly?

Now you can exfoliate your entire body in 60 seconds, with Microspa's Mystic SkinSpa™. The treatment is completely private, and uses an alpha hydroxy complex that is misted evenly all over the body, exposing fresh, healthy new skin. This gentle exfoliation treatment will bring out your skin's natural glow, and make your skin shine!

“I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris, and used to have small dark bumps on the backs of my arms and thighs. I use the SkinSpa once a week, and now the bumps are hardly there. And my skin is also smoother! I never thought that my skin could feel this smooth and look this even.”

FAQ's about Exfoliation:

I have bumps all over my arms. Is this acne? How can I get rid of them?

If these bumps are small and rough and mostly occur on your upper arms and thighs, it's more likely that you have an eczema-related condition known as keratosis pilaris. It's a very common hereditary condition (more than 50% of people have it) that creates raised bumps on the skin.

Keratosis pilaris occurs when skin cells build up in the hair follicle, preventing the hair shaft from reaching the surface of the skin. Often, this results in minor inflammation, causing the appearance of red or brown spots beneath each raised bump. Since this affects the pores, keratosis pilaris can cause or exacerbate blemishes, especially in adolescence. There is no "cure" for the condition, but you can take steps to reduce the appearance of the bumps. If you have keratosis pilaris, exfoliation is your biggest friend. Since the hardened build-up of skin cells (also known as "hyperkeratinization") is the culprit, getting rid of excess epidermal cells will help improve the appearance of keratosis pilaris.

What is Alpha Hydroxy Acid?

Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is a highly-effective, exfoliating ingredient, like glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids. It has been used by dermatologists for years to stimulate and accelerate cell growth, help smooth roughness and fine lines, and prevent acne and ingrown hairs.

How does the treatment work?

The treatment is completely private, and is done inside the Mystic booth. An individual treatment sized cartridge is inserted into the Mystic booth, and the booth will "talk" to you - walking you through the steps. You will be fully nude in the booth, and will stand facing the spray nozzle. The cartridge will dispense the AHA into the nozzle. The treatment will begin by first gently misting the front of your body as the cartridge moves up the track. After it stops, you will be asked to turn clockwise, and it will mist you again, this time getting your side. You will repeat these steps for a total of 4 times, after which your entire body will have been misted with the AHA. After you step out of the booth, your skin will feel moist (but not wet), so you are able to comfortably put on your clothes and carry on with your day.

How long do I need to wait until I wash it off?

4-6 hours is recommended.

How often can I do this treatment?

Once or twice a week is sufficient to keep your skin looking and feeling smooth.

If I do this treatment today, can I tan or get a Mystic tan immediately afterwards?

No! It is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours before tanning or getting a Mystic Tan. That way, your skin will be evenly exfoliated, allowing you a much more even tan or Mystic tan.
